I have had the most wonderful two weeks off. Seriously, I LOVE Christmas break!!! I know people think teachers are spoiled rotten with all of our “breaks” (and yes, we are to an extent!), but we seriously NEED these breaks to rejuvenate and refresh our mind, body, and spirit. Ever tried teaching 150 11-14 year olds every day? Try it, then let’s talk about my “time off.” I promise, it’s much needed. I love when Big Jon gets to go on youth retreats because I think it gives him a whole new perspective and appreciation for teachers. He gets a glimpse of why I come home so exhausted every day.
We celebrated our last day off with a workout, duh…(I ran on the treadmill- a warm up mile, 4x800s at 8.4 mph, and a cool down mile), lots of football (bummer from the Dawgs!), a photo shoot, and dinner with good friends.
I took this lovely little lady’s senior pics…
Then headed home just in time to see the Dawgs lose. Such a bummer. We decided to mourn the loss over dinner. We voted on Hibachi….yum!!
The FeLLaS…
The LaDieS…
Notice a pattern? Me and Jon are both really weird in pics. And no, Laura didn’t get punched in the mouth…she is hiding a little peppermint in there! Haha…
Oh, P.S. Doesn’t my hair look like it’s getting way long? Yeaaaaa, that’s what’s up!!
So, BACK to REALITY tomorrow!!!!!!
