A Year in Review- The Year Ahead

2010 was a wonderful year for us!!  I turned 25 and started my family, which I am so excited about (sorry, no Butler babies for awhile though...).  I love being married SO much more than being engaged- married life is the BEST!!  I did enjoy spending so much quality time with all the people closest to me for the wedding festivities, but I am really enjoying being a wife without the stress of planning a wedding.  It was awesome watching Big Jon get baptized and get involved with the youth at church. He has REALLY grown spiritually this year and I am so proud of him and thankful for that.  I want to be the best wife I can be in 2011....which means being a little less stubborn and cooking more frequently.  :) Maybe once we have our own place.

I got in great shape for the wedding, but have sorta slacked some, so I plan to get back on the grindstone.  One of my goals for 2011 is to run a marathon. I've always wanted to do it, so it's time to cross it off the bucket list, so I am going to start training....tomorrow! :)  As for now, I'm getting back into yoga. I LOVE yoga.

I spent a lot of time with dear friends and family this year.  2010 revealed to me who my true friends are, some I didn't even realize. I am SO grateful for my friends and family.  My goal for 2011 is to nourish the relationships that are important to me.

I participated in some great Bible studies this year.  Two of my favorites The Magnificent Obsession we did on the women's retreat and the Beth Moore So Long, Insecurity conference.  Still, Experiencing God is the best one I have EVER done and I highly recommend it.  In 2011, I want to be more devoted to my Bible studies, read the whole Bible through, and go on a mission trip.  We were supposed to go to an orphanage in Monterrey, Mexico in 2010, but it was cancelled because of the violence related to drug cartel.  As of right now, we are on track to head to Cali during Spring Break. I'll keep ya posted!

I started back to school in 2010 working toward my Specialist degree, and thankfully I'll be done in July.  My goal? To graduate. Ha! And learn as much as possible along the way, of course.

I have a great yearbook staff (I love my sweet babies!) and the sweetest Sunday school class. In 2011, I want to be the best role model I can possibly be...

And of course, one of my # 1 goals, which is top of the priority list for 2011, is to FIND OUR HOUSE! Sooner than later, please.

Here's to 2011!!!!!!!!
