And how lovely for you to get the birth experience you wanted this time around 😊 I'm from the UK and gave birth to a baby boy in February so it's interesting to read your blog and see the differences. I'm a first time mum but left the hospital after ten hours, if the labour was uncomplicated you can be discharged as early as six hours and then the midwives will come and check on you at home to weigh baby, see how you are feeling etc over the following couple of weeks. I also was advised not to bath my boy until his umbilical cord fell off- so quite a few people kissed his unwashed head 😉 lol, I was desperate for the cord to come off so I could give him his first bath.
