GLOW: Collagen, Hair, Skin & Nails

About a year ago, my friend Megan and I started researching the benefits of collagen because we’d heard so many great things about it. I was pregnant at the time and didn’t want to start anything new, but I was super impressed with the benefits and couldn’t wait to try it out myself. Fast forward to about 5 1/2 months ago, and I decided to start incorporating some Collagen into my regimen after doing some research & talking with the doctor about it. I was enjoying the results & secretly hoping AdvoCare would come out with some. I know when they release a product, it’s going to be super high quality, backed by proven science, tested, safe, & that it flat out will DELIVER. I heard a few ladies say you really want to give it a full month before you can expect to start seeing some changes. It can take time to get in your system & make those changes to your skin from the inside out, but I could literally see a difference after about 2 weeks.

So here are my two week progress pics. No editing or filter. I guess it would help more to have a “before” pic, but I’m super pumped about the way it’s looking now.

Adding in the GLOW system is the only thing I’ve changed. Same skin care regimen I’ve been using for a few years now. Same diet. Same everything. If you’ve read my blog for a while, you know I’ve had my fair share of skin troubles. Adult acne, melisma during pregnancy, you know…all the fun stuff. Anyway, what I’ve learned is that while there are things I can & should do externally (& I do as much as possible) to care for my skin, the BEST way to change your skin is from the inside out. Our skin is the largest organ in our body, but most of the outer layer of skin is made up of dead skin cells. Soooo…we can help internally by staying well hyrdrated, taking QUALITY omegas, eating plenty of veggies & fruits (juicing  + smoothies are a great way to do that!), limiting/eliminating sugar (actually causes more wrinkles), & of course not smoking.  Oh, and now by adding in AdvoCare’s COLLAGEN!! It’s a drink, and yummy for a collagen powder.

My hair & nails are both pretty healthy already from my diet and other vitamins and minerals. So although I am taking the Hair & Nails supplement as part of the whole system, I am personally seeing the most noticeable change in my skin. I definitely recommend taking the Skin supplement AND drinking the Collagen daily. And if you’re looking to strengthen your hair + nails, that supplement is fo sho one you want to get too. (Yes, I know lots of people that are already taking something like that, but that’s why I love AdvoCare…I always feel like the quality in superior to anything else of its kind.) So you can add all the bronzer and highlighter you want, but if you truly wanna GLOW from the inside out, this is my new daily go-to & I am already obsessed. (And it’s not just for the ladies. Jonathan is taking it too.)
