I waited till about 38 1/2 weeks to take maternity pics this time, which I know is a gamble with the second baby. No worries though, we ended up having PLENTY more time before Kade made his arrival!
We met with Logan {Logan Simmons Photography} at her Granny’s house and there were some beautiful backdrops! (We know her from church and several of her sweet family members too- including her cousin Lauren who helped me deliver Jase.) Jase was in rare form from his 2 year molars coming in and a couple of LATE nights in a row (who has graduation at 8 pm??), and not gonna lie…I was a little scared! He hardly EVER cries, so when he screamed the whole drive over, I thought we might be in for it. We ended up bribing him with a gingerbread bar & he did okay after that, and Logan was SO great to work with too. Love her!!
The pictures ended up turning out really well and we are SO happy with them! The lighting was perfect!! I know Jon probably gets annoyed with me always wanting pictures, but one day he’ll be thankful for them. I know I’m so glad we have them.
For my outfits, I bought two dresses (neither are maternity) from Belk since I had a coupon. Not sure if I’ll be able to wear them post-baby since they’re a size bigger than I normally wear (to accommodate the torpedo belly), but I’m hoping they’ll still look okay & I can wear them post-partum too. Double use = a win.
