#babybutlernumerodos….and we have a NAME!

I have liked this name from the beginning, but it has taken a while to grow on Jonathan. Early on in this pregnancy he thought the baby was a girl, and we’ve I’ve had a girl name picked out for about 3 –4 years. We had nothing for a boy though. This just kinda popped in my head one day and has stuck with me. I couldn’t ever get it out of my head and the more I hear it, the more I like it.

We like short, single syllable, strong sounding names. I really like J & K names for a boy. And it’s a little bit annoying to go by a middle name, but ya know, I’ve managed my whole life. (My first name is Amber.) Now Jase and #babybutlernumerodos get to take after their mama and experience it too. (It just sounds better in this order.)

Our  little guy is going to be…

Andrew Kade Butler!!!

And we’re going to call him Kade.

(Ummmmm, it JUST hit me for the very first time ever that since Kate will be part of our girl name when/if we have a girl, that is going to sound similar. But she’s going to have a double name so maybe it won’t be that big of a deal. Oops.)

In the New Testament the apostle Andrew, the first disciple to join Jesus. I have read that it means “man, strong, warrior, manly.” I can’t even really think of anyone I know named Andrew, but for some reason I just REALLY like the way it sounds. Kade means “from the wetlands.” We live on the lake, so I mean, that counts, right?

So there it is!

Andrew KadeKade Butler…we are praying for you by name, my sweet boy. You are already so very loved!! We cannot WAIT to meet you.

I love the name Kade!! My brother goes by his middle name (Kramer) and it's never been a big deal for him either. :)

Love the name!! Is your girl name Molly Kate by chance? That's a name I love but am nervous it sounds too southern (as if that's a thing ;)

Congrats!
