#babybutlernumerodos is 21 Weeks!!

Baby Growth:

My Symptoms: My appetite has DEFINITELY increased the past couple weeks.

I can also really tell when I’m not drinking enough water. It’s not good.

I woke up one morning this week with a crick in my neck that was pretty painful. I tried a hot compress and it got worse, so thankfully the chiropractor was able to squeeze me in late that afternoon. He said it was a little too swollen to get the joint back in the groove but did a few things to help and told me to ice it. I iced it three times before bed and it was significantly better the next day.

Weight/Baby Bump: Up about 2 lbs this week from last week. Not surprised at all with that appetite increasing. Baby bump is lookin LARGE this week! My belly button is so uncomfortable.

Gender: Sweet baby is a…  ***announcement coming ASAP!

Maternity Clothes: Wearing maternity pants now with regular tops (for the most part). I wear Jonathan’s t-shirts with workout pants when I work out.

Movement: I feel the majority of the movement really low like I did with Jase.

Sleep: I’m trying to sleep on my left side because I’ve read that’s best. Sometimes I catch myself on my tummy.

Cravings/Aversions: Anything Italian sounds yummy!!  I eat french onion soup at least once a week. Grilled chicken is kinda grossing me out.

Work Outs:  Jonathan & I had a few big meetings this week so we worked out together before them. Always love getting to work out with him. I typically row 2,000 meters and lift weights or take a Body Pump class. I still feel great and working out always makes me feel even better and sleep better. And goodness, I was a little bit of a weeny last pregnancy. Reading my last posts I see that I was complaining that lunges hurt my knees and I couldn’t jog? I jogged a little the other day and felt fine and lunges aren’t bothering me at all.

Goals for next week: I’m going to need to get that gender reveal pic out! Sheesh!! I feel so bad we haven’t announced yet. We’ve already told family so I guess I don’t have quite as much of an urgency, but I know I have lots of sweet friends who are excited to find out. Hopefully we can get a picture taken and posted ASAP. Nothing too fancy coming.

Thoughts: Jon & I have been talking this week about life with two and the great responsibility we have entrusted to us. We could not be MORE excited to welcome another sweet blessing to our little family.

Comparison: I wrote in my 21 week post with Jase that I thought future pregnancies would be easier because I wouldn’t be working. Someone commented that they don’t get easier, especially when you’re chasing around another kiddo. I have to disagree with that commenter. This pregnancy has been a LOT easier. It is SO nice being home.

Love this post! It's so nice to see what other second time mamas are going through. I think every single pregnancy is different for every woman. My second time around I felt worse. I had extreme exhaustion having a toddler to care about made things a lot more difficult. Glad you are doing well!

Ha. I remember reading that comment from your first pregnancy. I disagreed right then simply because I would rather be at home with my toddler feeling yucky than at work feeling yucky. Glad you have Jonathan around to help you. That makes a big difference.
