I celebrated my 27th birthday today.
I am SO thankful for each and every year up to this point. I had such a great childhood; loved my teenage years; had a blast in college; and now I am loving married life. I couldn’t be more excited about what’s in store in the future too. I know babies and a family will be such a special time!
Growing older doesn’t bother me at all. I remember turning 26 and thinking how weird it was to be closer to 30 than 20….but honestly, who cares? I am LOVING this phase of my life!!!
I am so beyond blessed, and as cheesy as it sounds, every day really is a gift.
After hearing more about my adoption story (I promise, I’m going to write it soon)…I am even more thankful for life itself. My biological mom considered abortion and couldn’t go through with it. It’s a tough thought to even wrap my head around, but it makes me even more thankful now than ever.

So, now that I got all super serious on everybody….let’s move on to the fun stuff!! Check out what I got for my birthday!
From Jon’s family…a whole basket full of back to school goodies! Love it!! So thoughtful. And really, the little girl inside of my who used to play school in the living room couldn’t help but get excited about the red pens, post- it notes, and good job stickers!
From my parents….a single serve coffee and tea maker!! Suh-weet!!! I like to drink a cup of coffee on Sunday mornings, and I’m an every day tea drinker, so this will come in handy! (I think Jon is even more pumped about it than I am!)
And from Big Jon…A Mac Book Pro!! Yea, buddy!! This should be fun! I’ve always been a PC girl, but my friends love their Macs. (Actually, we’re going to get it this weekend because we were out of the country all last week…) What do y’all think, Mac or PC??
I also wanted to say a major “Thank You” to everyone who took the time to wish me a “Happy Birthday” and make it extra special!! Every call, text, message, note, and comment really made my day- I read every single one of them and I cherish every word. Remember, my love language is words of affirmation, so every birthday wish meant so much!!
