Are you a PLANNER? From Planning to Peace….

Pinned Image

You will not find my peace by engaging in excessive planning: attempting to control what will happen in your future. That is a commonly practiced form of unbelief. When your mind spins with multiple plans, peace may sometimes seem to be within your grasp; yet it always eludes you. Just when you think you have prepared for all possibilities, something unexpected pops up and throws things into confusion.

The Lord did not design the human mind to figure out the future. That is beyond our capability. He crafted our minds for continual communication with Him. Bring Him all your needs, your hopes, and your fears. Commit everything into His care. Turn from the path of planning to the path of PEACE.Pinned Image

This devotion spoke to me today. I am so focused on planning my future, that sometimes it makes it difficult to find true peace. I claim to trust the Lord, but as this devotion states, being obsessed with planning the future is a common form of unbelief. I know this is something I need to work on and it can only be done by relying on the Lord daily- seeking Him and HIS will alone.

Hi! I'm a fairly new reader, I just love your blog! Very uplifting! This post was just wonderful! I've been struggling with letting go of planning and just letting God have total control (as He does anyway). I'm a certified elementary teacher who's worked the past year as an instructional assistant. I so badly want my own classroom and will struggle over the summer with not worrying about finding a teaching position! It's so hard sometimes, but this post has really helped highlight some wonderful Scripture for me to study and dwell on! Thank you!

I just thinking that by making "my plan" I was actually focusing on myself and my needs versus what direction the Lord wants me to take.

I read this post at the exact time that I needed it! Thank you!
