Prayer Request for the Hall Family

Brian and Chelsea Hall are some of our best friends- you've probably seen me talk about them on the blog a time or two. :)  We serve in the youth with them at church, teach SS with them, go on vacation together every summer, and we just love their sweet little family.
They were both in our wedding, along with their oldest son, Brock, (he is 4 years old) who was the ring bearer.
He is so full of life and energy. Him & my hubby, whom he calls Jon Dean (we don't know where that nickname came from..) are BFF.
Brock has not been feeling too well for the last week and the doctor's treated him for strep a few days ago. After not feeling any better and complaining of his little neck and head hurting for almost a week, they took him to the ER and did a spinal tap. They admitted him to Scottish Rite last night and further testing determined that out little man has Meningitis.  They are running more tests today and we are praying it is viral (not the bad kind) so he can go home. Right now they are filling him with antibiotics and pain medicine so he can rest.
Please continue to pray for Brock and his family.
We did receive this text from Chels this morning. She said Brock wanted us to know he is feeling a little better.

Thank you for your prayers.

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him" (1 John 5:14-15).

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7).

"…The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective" (James 5:16).

"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints" (Ephesians 6:18).

I will keep him in my prayers. So sad when such a young person has to visit the hospital for something like that. Hope he makes a speedy recovery!

I"ll be praying for Brock and his sweet family.

I survived bacterial meningitis as a toddler and I know this is very serious. May God place his healing hand on Brock.
