What a WONDERFUL birthday!!

I had the BEST birthday this year!!
My mother-in-law's birthday is the day before mine, so we celebrated both of our birthdays with dinner at Texas Roadhouse.
We had a great time and I was so excited that she LOVED her gifts!!  The woman loves jewelry, so you can't go wrong with lots of bling for her! :)
They hooked me up with some makeup, new makeup brushes, and a gift card to Vitamin Shoppe- couldn't have asked for anything better.

I woke up Saturday morning to the smell of burnt toast. Jonathan had decorated the kitchen with pink balloons and streamers.....so cute.  He was making breakfast, and was so excited to give me my gift- a sweet card and the Garmin GPS watch. Woo hoo!! I'm pumped to start using it!!  He also contributed some money towards my new tennis shoes & is going to buy me some of the "good socks" that help prevent blisters.

 We enjoyed a lazy morning and met our friends Dana & Ryan for a fun-filled afternoon on the lake. We met up with Dana's family & hung out for awhile in Sunset Cove.  It was an awesome day (once we made it through the few showers!). We always enjoy our time with Ryan & Dana...laughing, talking about politics and conspiracy theories, and just goofing off.  They dropped us off at the boat ramp around 5 so we could get ready and meet my parents for dinner.
We hustled to get ready and met Mama and Daddy at the Melting Pot- my fave!!!
{ignore my lake hair & no makeup...yea, I didn't get dressed up on my own b-day}
 We so enjoyed the dinner, and the company of course. I lived with my parents for the last four years, so even though I am so in love with my new house and being married, I do miss seeing them on  a daily basis. It's always nice to catch up. I loved the chocolate fondue at the end- definitely my favorite part! YUM!!
We rented a movie on our way home and got in bed early because we had to be at church extra early the next morning.

It was a wonderful day, and everyone made me feel so special. I loved every phone call, voicemail, text message, card, FB post.  I also love that my friends know me SO well and got me the PERFECT gifts- they rock!!  I will say that 26 sounds a whole lot older to me than 25, but I know I need to get used to that! I have a feeling this is going to be a really special year with lots of exciting new things happening in our life. I can't WAIT to see what this year holds.

Thank you to everyone who helped make my day so special!!
{don't be jealous}
Ha!

26 sounded a lot older than 25 to me, too. In fact, I just called it "25B" for the first 6 months I was 25. Happy birthday!
