Are you TOO busy?

I've heard it preached before that if Satan can't make you "bad" he'll make you "busy." I am a self-proclaimed busy body and my calendar is always PACKED! (Honestly, I don't know how it happens. It just DOES. And it's been this way my whole life.) I've caught myself before not making time for God because of everything on my to-do list...not okay. Hello, priorities. Thankfully the Lord put this sweet devotion right in front of my face last week in my
book Dana gave me! We fell in love with it at the cottage! And it was JUST the medicine I needed.

******************

Trust me enough to spend ample time with Me, pushing back the demands of the day. Refuse to feel guilty about something that is so pleasing to Me, the King of the universe. Because I am omnipotent, I am able to bend time and events in your favor. You will find that you can accomplish more in less time after you have given yourself to ME in rich communion. Also, as you align yourself with My perspective, you can sort out what is important and what is not.

Don’t fall into the trap of being constantly on the go. Many, many things people do in My Name have no value in My Kingdom. To avoid doing meaningless works, stay in continual communication with Me. I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.

Luke 10:41-42; Psalm 32:8

It's so hard to remember and keep that small one on one time through out the day with God, but when I do my DAYS GO SO MUCH BETTER!! Thanks for reminding me to start it off like that today!

Ryan and I talked about this devotion last night. It is so true, and extremely difficult for someone like us to do! I definitely like to be busy and not say no, but God needs to be first! When he is everything will fall into place. Love you! I can't wait until our marriage conference! ;)
